During the development of a project for our client Aes Gener in Mejillones, we carried out the supply and installation of a fire protection system. The following activities were performed:
1. Angamos 1 and 2 Bag Filter Structures
Pipelines, seismic supports, and Class III cabinets required for the fire protection system were supplied and installed.
2. Boiler Front Burner Floors
In this case, the work consisted of the supply and installation of additional sprinklers and the relocation of existing ones in the area.
3. Cable Basement
Seismic supports were supplied and installed, and additionally, a water drainage system for the Basement was designed, supplied, and installed, considering 4 sumps of 30x30x40 (LxWxH), 4 pumps of 50 GPM, and 50m of discharge piping.
4. Angamos Control Room
In this area, a sprinkler system with a deluge valve and an air compressor were supplied and installed, which was configured to work with smoke and low air pressure signals to open the deluge valve.
